COMPLAINT.
I've been re-scheduled about 5 times since March for a meeting with FINAS (the national film body) and I'm fed up. I'm sure a lot of local film-makers are as pissed off with FINAS as I am, a simple meeting becomes a 'challenge' for them. Really, I do wish they re-organize themselves because its becoming a joke. If anyone feels the same way, please do speak out.

Welcome to the world of Malaysian procastination and the lack of urgency in matters. FINAS is probably passing your scripts up the bureaucratic ladder. They are probably not ready to meet up with you. I can only imagine they are consolidating a response from all levels, to your script. Controversial scripts take much longer and there has to be a concerted response to you.

More like the simple meeting is a "challenge" for u rather than them. Hey, whats your rush. Get in the Q. I bet there are also lotsa us who are in the Q, but who's complaining? Give them the benefit of the doubt. In our urge to get things done on our side, we always forget that other ppl also have other things to do. The world does not revolve around you only. Sabar la...its the way we do things here..
Well schizzo man, I have no problems with being in a Q - I have problems with being rescheduled. I don't mind waiting months etc for an appointment its the concept of cancelling at last minute and being pushed around. You set to a time(even if its a long time to wait) and you stick to it, don't cancel 5 times.
Yea I respect your point there Zarina. Its one thing the general Malaysian cannot adhere to especially govt. Corporate bodies are ok EXCEPT when you get an ex-govt servant in there. Man! Then it gets chaotic. But that aside, don't tell you have not given some others that kind of treatment too? Look deep into yourself, reflect on your past. I'm sure you have done the same thing to some ppl whom you consider insignificant. I'd say 9 out 10 you have done the same. Govt or not govt attitude, we are all the same human. Hey! What goes around, come around! So don't feel too good about yourself

I'm grown up enuf chunson... dude! I wasn't talking to you man. Get a grip on yourself. I was trying to provoke some intellectual feedback in which to use for a potential scripting issue I am writing for a new film (Duh!) Especially now when we have a new blood in the industry.... Perasan la you chunson... and in case you can't read its schizzo.man
